First

white grape juice, cranberry juice diluted to 50/50 with water

Popsicles or Sugar Free Gelatin ("Jello")

Chicken
Broth, Beef Broth, Vegetable Broth, (no particles)

Boost Breeze
Protein Supplement (Clear, not milky)
*** AVOID SUGAR AND
CARBONATED DRINKS and EAT NO CHICKEN NUGGETS, HAMBURGERS OR MASHED POTATOES.
Day 15-30
- Full Liquids
-
Cream or
Tomato Soup, canned only (none from restaurants)
- Skim Milk of Non-Fat Lactose-Free
Milk (EG, "Lactaid", "Dairy-Ease")
- Non-Fat Sugar-Free Yogurt,
plain or Fruit flavored
- Apple Sauce
PROTEIN SUPPLEMNT (see
list of suggested supplements, 60g/ day of protein)
*** AVOID SUGAR AND CARBONATED DRINKS EAT NO CHICKEN NUGGETS, HAMBURGERS
OR MASHED POTATOES.
Week 5 -
Mushy Foods
Start out with anything
you can (BLENDERIZE).
- Meat, peas, beans, vegetables,
fruit
- Cottage Cheese
- Mashed potatoes
- Scrambled Eggs
- Oatmeal
***As the month continues,
advance to soft well cooked meats, ground meats, vegetable, canned fruit,
rice, pasta, bread.
CONTINUE PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT (60g/day of protein)
Week 9 -
Regular Diet
Gradually add one at
a time
- Meat, cooked to easily digested
texture
- Raw fruits and vegetables,
salads
- Crunchier food (crackers,
toast)
- Food should be low in sugar
and fat
CONTINUE PROTEIN SUPPLEMENT
(60g/day of protein)
Take chewable multivitamins with minerals including iron and chewable
calcium Vitamin B-12 shot monthly or liquid or sublingual Vitamin B-12
